Favorite Documentaries
(Another great collection of films to watch)
In putting together the list of what to me are the 20 best fiction films, I started thinking about what were my “best” documentaries.
Where my fiction list had only 2 films from the past 25 years, the documentary list is much different, as I truly believe documentaries have far surpassed fiction films in every area (except special effects, which mean little to me) in recent decades.
As with the fiction list, I’ve limited selections to one per director. But these have all blown me away in one way or another. (Top row is definitely my top four, the rest can change depending on when you ask.)
